Opened in 1971, Jurong Bird Park is one of the largest bird parks in the region, offering a 20.2-hectare hillside haven for 9,000 birds representing 600 species. Committed to its efforts in conservation and exhibiting birds in naturalistic settings, the Bird Park creates simulated natural habitats – from the grasslands of Africa to the rainforests of South America – for different bird species.

The Hornbill and Toucan exhibit features the world’s largest collection of Southeast Asian hornbills and South American Toucans. The Waterfall Aviary, a walk-in aviary, houses 1,500 birds of 80 species. Aside from the thrill of simply watching these free-flying birds behaving naturally, feeding points offer visitors a chance to observe the many species in the aviary face-to-face. The largest of its kind in the world, the Waterfall Aviary includes a 30 metre man-made waterfall at one end.

The African Wetlands simulates the natural environment of the St.Lucia Wetlands, which gives one a peek into how men and nature co-exist. African birds featured include the Shoebills, the African-Crowned Crane, the Saddle-Billed Storks, the Great White Pelican and many others. The African Wetlands recently won the Best ASEAN New Tourist Attraction 2007, for the 21ST ASEANTA Excellence Award. To enhance the visitor experience, The Lodge on Flamingo Lake, a 3-storey theme-dining restaurant (available for functions, seminars, wedding, corporate events, etc by booking) overlooking a flamingo-filled lake gives new meaning to dining with a view.

Imbiah Lookout

Situated near Mount Imbiah on Sentosa, Imbiah Lookout is the latest cluster of new and exciting attractions that will appeal to all. Adventure-seeker, nature lover, history-buff…whatever your calling, there is always something fun and exhilarating for everyone to experience.
